God’s Beauty
The youth group will be rafting this weekend on the beautiful Trinity River. Whenever we are in nature, I encourage everyone to look around and see God’s awesome power in the nature of the world he created for us to enjoy. I truly believe that if you take time to focus a couple of minutes on God while being surrounded by his creation, you will see a little piece of who God is. He created nature for us to enjoy and wants us to enjoy it with him.
If you ever find yourself walking along a path in the woods, driving down a mountain road, gazing up at forrest trees, sitting in the middle of a lake, watching a sunrise or sunset, seeing the sunbeams through the clouds, or listening to the powerful sound of a river, take a few minutes to recognize how powerful God is and thank him for what he’s created for us to enjoy.

God Bless.
Nature has touched me in a big way. From an early age I was given an appreciation of the great variety of Creation, learning the names of trees, plants & flowers. We had a collection of shells big and small and of amazing variety, also a box of rocks that included a petrified log. Our family vacations found us camping and exploring creeks, peaks and valleys. It is one thing to see and appreciate the World around you, it is another when you have an “experience”. Experiences such as staying up all night, and watching the stars rotate around the north star. In Canada on a canoe trip , an awesome sunset when the weather broke after 48 hours of non stop rain. Watching the all too slow sunrise from the summit of Mt Lassen. Climbing Mt.Shasta by the light of the full moon, and seeing the shadow of the mountain at sunrise. In the Redwoods where it was so quiet, the only sound was the creak of one tree rubbing on the other. Discovering a hidden waterfall with a field of ferns, and rocks so large that they make natural shelter. Being in a thunderstorm so intense that people had their hair stand up, and the air crackled . Or finding a place where a rare flower grows. = = = There are many more times that I could tell of deep emotion and awe at the beauty of the world we live in. Sometimes its hard to see God in people, but I see Him in Nature all the time. There is so much to know, and for everything new we learn - there are new unanswered questions. We are bombarded with Evoloution propaganda everyday, yet if people would open their eyes and minds this thinking would fade away. They seem to have an answer for everything, but really they don’t. Our bodies are made up of minerals, just like it said in Genesis long before we really understood.
But this amazing variety of minerals with unique properties has nothing to do with natural selection. When one examines the crystals it seems there must have been a designer. Of what purpose is beauty? Why do we have the need to be creative? Why do all peoples feel the need to worship God?
You really need to update this Scott.
